Well this Wednesday January 30, 2008 is the big day. Tara is going to be induced because Evan is already probably 8 ½ pounds. We have to be at the hospital at 6 am. Please check back for information on when he is actually born and all of that information.

The joy of the growth of a bigger belly
The fear of the stillness
The joy of every little movement, kick, stretch, or flip
The fear of not being ready
The joy of knowing we will be holding our son in our arms soon.
Oh what joy of parenting even though we are not even parents has excited us for months.
Now where there is fear…the joy cannot be found or anywhere in sight.
But when there is Joy oh when there is JOY..fear escapes the mind faster than you can say delivery.
Though the fear is always around the corner with all the unknowns, unseen factors
But Joy is always there to tell us that Jesus is alive and working.
Here is Tara holding baby cousin Kelan, Grandma Watts, and Aunt Alisha. Tara is about 6 months pregnant at this time.
At the Expectant Parents class, Eric got to see what it would be like to be pregnant. Mom found it really funny that when he sat down he said he had to use the restroom because it was pushing on his bladder. Tara also made him pick up a paper off the floor to see how hard it really is to get down and up with that extra weight. I think Eric understands more of what a pregnant mother and especially Tara is going through now.
We will Eric the embarrassment of showing these excellent pictures of a pregnant man named Eric. Unless we can have at least 5 people comment on this blog asking to see a pregnant man or pictures of a pregnant man. So if you want to see these embarrassing pictures than leave a comment now.
Here is Mom and Dad in Hawaii. Mom is about 5 months pregnant and as you can see her feet are swollen. That is really the only time she got swollen was in Hawaii. She tried to keep her feet up and tried to eat less salt but was extremely hard on vacation.
Ultrasound Surprise
Well little Evan showed his personality early on. We went for our ultrasound at 19 weeks and Tara’s mom went with us. We wanted to be surprised. At first Dad was not so sure he wanted to wait until the baby was born to find out if it was a girl or boy but he decided that he was okay with it. He actually got very excited about being surprised. Well as the ultrasound tech was trying to get all the measurements, baby was constantly moving and not cooperating at all. At the end of the ultrasound, she went down to his feet and moved off very quickly because baby BOY had his legs wide apart. Well mom and dad saw that he was a boy and made the poor tech go back and tell us that it was a boy. At first we were a little disappointed to not be surprised, but now we are very excited to know soon we will have a little son. I think dad is especially excited to have his little boy. We love him already and can’t wait to see what his personality is really like.
